The city of Seaside is located between Cannon Beach and Astoria along highway 101 and the Pacific Ocean, about 80 miles northwest of Portland.
Seaside lies at the end of the Lewis and Clark trail, and the city features a monument to commemorate that journey.
The main point of interest in the city is the 250-foot wide beach, running a mile and a half long and its historic Promenade. Other attractions include the Seaside Aquarium and the Seaside Museum and Historical Society.
Motels and hotels in Seaside are located between highway 101 and the Pacific coast within one mile of downtown and with easy access to the beach.
