The city of Redmond is located in central Oregon, about 15 miles north of Bend along highway 97 at the junction with highway 126. The city is situated on the eastern side of the Cascade Mountains, on a flat plateau, at an elevation of about 3,000 feet above sea level.
Attractions in the area include Cline Falls Sate Park located four miles to the west, Smith Rock State Park nine miles to the north and the Ogden Wayside Rest Area also nine miles to the north providing with breathtaking views of Mt. Hood and Mt. Jefferson, as well as five hundred foot deep lookout of the canyon beneath it.
Redmond is about 50 minutes from Mt. Bachelor ski area and 45 minutes from Hoodoo Ski Bowl.
Most hotels and motels in Redmond are located along highway 97 within 3 miles of the city center.
