The Cities of Coos Bay and North Bend are located along highway 101, on a peninsula created by the Coos River, on the west bank of Coos Bay, few miles east of the Pacific Ocean.
The bay area natural surroundings provide a great setting for many recreational activities, such as surfing, hunting, fishing and hiking.
Other attractions in the area include the Coos Art Museum, the Cape Arago Lighthouse, and Mingus Park.
The city of North Bend is also the gateway to the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area, where coastal mountains, majestic dunes and beaches create a natural outdoors playground.
