The city of Brookings and its neighboring community of Harbor are located along highway 101 on the southern coast of Oregon, just six miles north of the California border.
Known as 'The Banana Belt of Oregon', the unique mild climate of the area, a rare 'pocket of hot weather' in the northwest, combined with miles of untamed Pacific shoreline, provides great setting for many recreational activities.
Other attractions in the city include the port of Brookings-Harbor, the Chetco and the Winchuck rivers and the Azalea Park.
